About the Role
As a Part-Time Travel Adviser, you will use your consultative selling skills to match clients with their ideal cruise package and customise it to suit their needs. This cruise-focused role also requires experience with international travel bookings, including airfares. You’ll work independently to engage leads, close sales, and provide seamless travel solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultation: Use a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and match them with the perfect cruise and travel package.
- Booking Management: Design and book international cruise packages, including flights, pre/post-cruise accommodation, and travel insurance.
- Sales Outreach: Proactively engage with leads via phone and email, converting enquiries into bookings through confident, personable communication.
- Customisation: Tailor travel itineraries to suit individual preferences, ensuring clients receive a seamless, personalised experience.
- Amadeus GDS Expertise: Use Amadeus GDS to manage and book airfares, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead Follow-Up: Independently manage and follow up on leads, ensuring no opportunity is missed.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service throughout the booking process, handling queries, changes, or issues with professionalism and care.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of cruise products, international airfares, and destination offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Sales-Focused: Proven consultative selling skills with the ability to close sales and meet performance targets.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a travel adviser role with strong experience in cruises and international airfares.
- Amadeus GDS: Strong, proven experience using Amadeus GDS for air bookings.
- Qualifications: Minimum Certificate III in Travel or equivalent.
- Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding, tailored client experiences.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex bookings with accuracy and care.
- Adaptable: Comfortable handling multiple tasks, working with international packages, and customising travel plans.
